Raymond Faitala-Mariner comes in at a price of $623 000 and is priced at his average of 46 from 2020 and seems to be slowly working his way up in the rankings for the edge backrower to pick up.
When you look at big players to fill the void for that edge spot in your team you would not be blamed for looking at the likes of Crichton or Matterson, however, Faitala-Mariner could be a cheaper option who seems to be good value.
In his last 3 years in the 2RF position, he scored averages of 47, 51 and 51. In 2020, when playing 80 minutes in the 2RF he scored at an average of 54 points which sits him on par with David Fifita and Cam Murray but almost $100 000 cheaper and only has an ownership of 1.4%.
Trent Barrett has come out with the news Josh Jackson will be starting lock (where he should be) and seems like he might have a bit more consistency in positions which surely has Faitala-Mariner on that edge for 80 minutes week in week out.
If you are going after big-money players in other positions such as Cleary, Cook and Tedesco then Faitala-Mariner could be a player to consider in the edge position for 2021.
