NRL Fantasy recommendation - Buy Luke Brooks

Luke Brooks is not a name that many would have pencilled in for their team, although if you are looking for that money making half alternative to Milf, Lam or even CHT, Brooks could be your man.

His last 3 years averages have been 41, 53 and then 41 in 2020. This has him starting at a price of $544 000 which is in that annoying mid-range category.

In his year of 2019 where he scored an average of 53 he had an extra 40 metres gained in running metres per game and an extra 100 in kicking metres per game. For me to buy Brooks at this mid-range price this is what I am banking on him picking back up in 2021.

He is looking to pair up with Adam Doueihi in 2021 from round 2 onwards who in the halves in 2019 had 110 kicking metres per game. When you compare this to his halves partner last year of Benji Marshall who had 286 kicking metres per game, he has the potential of picking up an extra 170+ kicking metres (+8.5 points).

Brooks should be the dominant halve for the tigers this year and if he claws back those predicted kicking metres along with the 40 extra running metres he had in 2019 that gives him an extra 12.5 points, which bumps his average back up to 53.5 (+$166 000).

He will be a name I look to juggle into my team when that first TLT drops soon. Thoughts?
