Joseph Tapine opens a price of $653k, BE of 49 and a very low ownership of 2.5%.
With the departure of John Bateman, the Raiders are looking for someone to step as their go to forward and Tapine has all the ingredients with his late footwork and ability to off load giving him an x factor leading into 2021.
He has a healthy PPM of 0.89 and I am forecasting Tapine to play around 60 minutes per game.
Interestingly in 8 games starting a lock he averaged 59 from 60 minutes played and moved permanently into the role in round 16. He has a high ceiling with the potential for huge games, scoring 86 and 80 in finals games against the Sharks and Roosters. Even in a losing team against the Storm he scored 53 despite the Storm dominating the Raiders right across the field.
Given how well he played in the back end of the season, Tapine is right under the radar. We are all looking for that 49-50 back rower who could be the next 60 bagger. This guy is ticking all my boxes and I’m jumping right in to lock him that middle position.
