NRL Fantasy recommendation - Buy Brian To'o

Brian To’o is a man going seriously under the radar at a 2.7% ownership and opens the season at $580k and a break even of 43.

Reported to be switching to the dominant left edge outside Stephen Crichton, To’o really set the game alight when he returned from injury in round 16. In the final 5 rounds of the season he averaged 51 and found the try line in 4 of those games.

In the regular season he found the try line in 6 of 13 games while Josh Mansour scored in 10 of 19 wingers with both statistically doing well in terms of finding the line.

What stands To’o out is his base stats. Always looking for carries, To’o averaged 178 running metres, 5 tackle breaks and had a line break in every second game. 2019 he averaged 165 running metres and also 5 tackle breaks so he brings consistency to his game.

To think he only debuted in round 10, 2019 so 2020 was his first full year of first grade and he can still find efficiencies in his game. Round 18 and 19 of this year he did have 3 errors in the game and he did average 1.2 across the season so a small area for him to correct. In the weekend trial against the Eels after 20 minutes, To'o had 7 carries to Charlie Staines' 1 carry. There was also one burst where he beat 3 defenders.

With that low ownership you could see a potential pod out of To’o. Continuing to improve as a player and on the end of that dominant left side and I’m projecting a 50 average for him.
